im mark 53 years young from weston super mare, i ride a 1982 cm250tb (the one with the superdream engine) or should i say own as the damn thing dont run any more, i was thinking or putting a 400 lump in it but they seem to be like gold dust, so at the min i just have a sculpture to look at hahaha.

Hi steve, i aint worked out how to put pic's up yet, but when i can i will ... lol as for the bike, well it went in the shop for new rings cos it had low compression, came back i went for a 20 mile ride & it started leaking oil out left exhaust so i changed valve seals & it went great for 5 miles then stopped & wont start now. Think i need some with magic fingers to touch it or a priest to get the curse off it lol.   thats a nice looking bike, are you going to do the engine your self. |

to be honest ive tried everything i can think of, so guess its time to save up some cash & send her back to a bike shop, see if they can sort it.

have you tried a compression test to check the piston rings. and are the plugs wet. with oil or petrol?

maybe a good a idea to start a new thread, then members will offer their advice, put it in the help section.

comp is 150 on each side cold, plugs are wet with petrol & sparking great. i got to go work now but will start a help thread tomorrow with a full list of everything ive tried so far, cheers, Mark.
