Considered this for around seven minutes and to me it's just not worth it......I'm happy to risk coming off and f*cking up my bodywork (unlikely).......but I have a spare for a spare, you know me..a second for everything.

Interesting part of the history though- I am sure it has been mentioned before about these covers being available back then. And here are some......

They are a very nice accessory and I won't pretend I'd like a set to sniff (if not anything else).
But at 100 nicker starting bid, I think this is a p*ss take also considering they are 'used'.....are you going to get them Mr C?

I remember these covers 'from the day'...........and my recollection is that they were NOT leather - just vinyl with a leather look. Could be mistaken though. 100 notes? They are rare I have to agree.....they didn't last long in service and I haven't seen another set up for grabs at any time. This could be the last complete set in existence!

Great photo Carl! You must have been the one who mentioned them previously.
Nick, my interest as always is the history of these fine bikes. As such I might have bought these covers as part of it, but I have to say as for the fairings I would never fit them to one of my bikes and they would just sit in a cupboard. I've copied the photo for reference.
After pretty atrocious thread hijack and drift- bluedreamer I hope you enjoyed your bottle of wine!

Loving your rack.....but no black knobs? They kept on coming loose so we put stainless steel bolts on instead.

I've had stainless bolts & the black knobs on mine & they've all come loose. Lost one of each so far.

i had the full set of covers after my big accident with NBH6V, covered up the extremely dented tank (where my bits it it) and the scratches on the tank and sidepanesls, was cheaper at the time than a respray and new tank,
Carl, they were pvc.

I wonder if they were made under licence by Oxford?
The genuine nose fairings were.
