I'm 99% sure this is right but perhaps someone could clarify: A motorcycle does not require mirrors in order to pass an MOT? My understanding is that if they are fitted and found to be cracked then that is fail-able but much like a speedometer, if it is not fitted, it is not inspect-able. Is this still right in 2015 chaps? Anyone know? Thanks in advance.  |

i think you are correct, if its fitted it must work, dont think mirrors are Compulsory on motorcycles.

Of course we are all doing our "lifesaver" looks whenever we overtake, undertake, move out, move in, slow down, speed up, change direction, hiccup, burp or fart?
Young riders I have seen nearly hit something in front of them because Mr Instructor has them constantly swivelling their head around everywhere except direction of travel......

Cheers for all the help. I am taking my GS for its MOT on Friday and the s/h genuine mirrors I have bought will not be here in time. Hence the reason for the question. The mirrors it came with are attached to the fairing which I have taken off for now, it is in naked guise for now...  |

On the subject of mirrors has anyone used a rider scan and do they live up to the hype around them ?
