Bidding down a farmer Loz ! good luck with that :)You'll end up coming home with a litter of Jack Russell's a sheep and a goat :)Jack Russell's seem to be rising in popularity again, well over here anyway. It's funny how even with dogs there seems to be trends where certain breeds are popular for a while. Jack Russell's are a classic though oh and they are also unpredictable, easily annoyed and can be quite viscous at times although you can't help but love them, a bit like yourself Loz pmsl very true Harold, but the farmer is in for a shock,if I only get a £5 back for luck,i will get something knocked off,i will not evan pay our friends in the shade the marked up price for a pair of jeans,i allways get them to drop the price, the wife pi55es off and leaves me to it.them Asian guys are tight twats tho, very different when they want to buy,i once chased 3 of the buggers up the street with a hammer, when they came to buy a Datsun off me,hey they can run let me tell you

Jack russels are kennel club registered now Harold they have shown at crufts for the last three or four years only they have changed the name its something silly like Parson Russel now They did refer to them as Parsons Terriers I think they get it from the Reverend John (Jack) Russell who was the man who first bred them. I didn't know they were now officially recognised as a breed though.

Apparently they have been a recognised breed since 1990 as the Parson Jack Russell Terrier and then the Jack was dropped in 1999 when they became known as the Parson Russell Terrier. You learn something every day

Hi Loz. I read this post with great interest, funnily enough we had a dachshund called Tilly, but that's another story. I had to drive my wife to Essex a few years ago to look at some pups, we left with a Chihuahua. I turned the whole situation around to my advantage and I suppose that is why I am here tonight. I said that if we can afford to have another dog, then surely I can have another motorbike. In a flash she said YES. So I bought the SD400. I have to say that I am not really a dog lover, but that pup does look cute. My son and his wife bought a pup and looks very similar to yours, I think that is a Jack russell crossed with something I will try to find out and post a picture. All the best. Mike.
