That front tyre is a 3.00......still looks like it is running against the front muddy but I assure you it's not.....there is quite a gap....just goes to illustrate how skinny a 3.60 was...in real life and in pics.

Cheers Listey.....
A tidy rider. It's getting how a like it now. Just need to work on the RHS engine cover - at some stage I'll hook it off and give it a good old wire wool and polish. At the same time replace the clutch arm for a new one as the one on there is a little manks.
Swinging arm also needs to come out at some stage for a refresh.

(Engine casings on the 400NA though).
The genny cover (LHS) on this one I bought as a polished up item from an 'abandoned project'. But need to work on the RHS.

The fork legs did you lacquer them afterwards? if so what did you use?

Yes I chose to clear lacquer the forks with Halfords clear lacquer after the polish.

Thanks FB, i will follow your lead and try Halfords lacquer. The last lacquer i used on my forks came from b&q and has reacted over the last 12 months to show little white dots under the lacquer.

I normally choose to leave them un-lacquered but as a kind of trial, I did lacquer these ones - will see if it flakes over time.

There is something different about Honda's original lacquer - it's kind of lighter.
You notice when it is coming off - you can see the difference.

I think i will just clean and polish them and leave the lacquer off next time.
