Major engineering work to get a chain drive engine converted to shaft drive.
I think the chain is still there, but there must be a 'box' of some description converting the chain power/movement into shaft movement to the back axle.
That MUST sap the power - especially if it is as 250!!!!!

Maybe it utilises a transfer box from a MK6 Escort RS2000 4X4.

It's a reliant axle. Herrald drum brake. It has a kawasaki shaft and conversion box. Power wise. Not lost much. It drifts on bends if you wind it on. Great fun. Does 70 mph. Plenty for a hard tail

It's certainly different Troy and looks like it would be fun to ride. Did you build it yourself or buy it already triked ?

Was triked but in a very bad way. I've got it running. Rewired. New tank. Panels . Seat. Pegs. Bars. Lights. It goes on. You could pretty much say I did everything other than welding the back end on and registering it
