Has the seat been patched? There's a circle on both sides near the back of the seat... Strange place for it to wear.  |

No mate it's where the rear light unit attaches...... It had two big holes where it was rusted out so I put some chemical metal in there and I'll sand/grind it back before refitting the lamp :-)

Well I've been quite busy cleaning the old girl up a bit , stripped and cleaned up some of the corroded bits and changed a few of the rotten bits  . She now runs a lot better after a carb clean and some new ( to me) inlets....... I don't think this was helping..   Anyway here's a couple of pics as she stands now..... Still a work in progress but some progress none the less....     Oh oh and I bought a tank from eBay too......turns out he's a member on here so thanks Richard (Somerset dreamer) hopefully it'll be on the bike in the near future  cheers rs for now, mike.... Nice progress mike be great when you get it on the road it was good to meet you at weekend, are you going to spray the tank or use it as it is ? |

Yeah I'll probably use it as is for now so I can get it mot'd and then get it all sprayed up.
One step at a time though, I still have a way to go before she's any where near ready for an MOT :-o
