Come on Gee surely like me you would only have one bath a week way back so we all ponged a bit and you wouldn't notice the Bellstaff Sorry to disappoint Dave, creature of habit here...never a day been passed without a bath/shower. Well I cant afford a Belstaff at the moment so I got my mums old Barbour wax jacket out the loft the other day. Does smell a bit but in a nice way

Barbour's are the next best thing IMHO....
The F-I-L has one and he has left it here for a month or two parked in the downstairs coat cupboard.
Often been tempted to wear it but have resisted the urge so far.

Yeah this one is too, kind of a waxed affair, quite heavy duty, with a tartan lining.
Looks expensive ish although he's had it many years but the wear suits it......although the used snot rags in the pocket don't......

I worked on Russia and China years ago, the Russians espeially did not wash much in the winter because of the cold but they didn't smell bad. Their theory was that if you wash often then you have to keep washing often or you will smell really bad, but if you get into the habit of washing every week or fortnight the you wont smell too bad at all. Their theory is that washing every day or two kills off good bacteria from the skin which the smelly bacteria under control.

There were a few smelly bastards around back then,talking mid sixties early seventies,we had a bath on Sunday night ready for school.Would shower at secondry school after sports activities,started bathing daily after year so of work left school at 15 Old Spice was the aftershave to have all Dads had some then Brut/Hai Karate etc. came along and we all stopped ponging,unless you wore a Belstaff

Yes I remember our Baz and 'enry splashing it all over and the bird with large mammaries in the Hai Karate ads old spice always a bit more sophisticated I actualy have a large bottle of OS couldn't throw it out when me Dad died,smell still reminds me of him
