Not my cup of tea - especially straight through exhaust pipes. Loud does not necessarily equate to more speed , usually less when compared to standard.

It looks good but it is made out of the remains of a once complete superdream, to me it is as though they have taken off the rusty corroded parts, painted the rest and asked a lot more for it

Like it but don't like the tyres. A lot of fabrication and work gone into that which I can appreciate.

Not for me,some nice work gone into it agree on the tyres they are not right on a cafe racer and whats with the handbags on the side I think a cafe racer should be unique and not a kit bought job

To make an as new bike is really quite straight forward, its having the patience to source the correct parts open the box and bolt it on. I have done this myself on previous restorations which have included a Triumph Thunderbird (not pre-unit sadly) Yamaha XS650, Suzuki GT750(kettle), Yamaha RD400 to name a few. But this cafe racer project ive found the most interesting and enjoyable really. Which ever it is though its still a lot of bloody cleaning and agro !

I quite like it, there's a few nice touches on it. The paintwork on the tank does a cracking job of disguising the awkward shape. Can't help feeling the bike's been "produced" rather than "created" though, if that makes any sense.

Nice enough bike with some nice touches, but £7,000. The truth is these type of companies are springing up all over the place to cater for the cool new brat / flat / cafe scene and like other designer / brand driven fads of the past seem to operate on a the dearer it is the more they want it type of thing. To restore a Superdream to original condition would cost a lot more than it would to create this bike so it would be hard to justify the asking price of £7,000. Don't think I am detracting from custom bikes in general I'm not and in fact I think there are better examples of custom SD's on this very forum, which will please a few people as their bikes must be worth about £10,000 :)I spoke to a supposed custom bike company at a Custom Bike Show in Belfast in the summer who had a very nice BMW boxer engined cafe racer, I ask them if they sold parts for motorcyles, they didn't, I asked if they sold motorcycles to which they replied, not as such but if I wanted one made I could go down and see them discuss my requirements and basically get it made for me. To me a lot of the new wave of custom bike shops are just Custom Bike Agencies, who farm out the work to various companies and then charge a fortune for the finished product. Oh but they did sell T Shirts with their name on

I agree with what you have said Harold, and the more i think about it i have to admit i have a superdream that requires a lot of parts and work to get back to standard but i could put it back on the road non standard condition and that will be because i cannot afford to have the frame repaired having three other superdreams already i am afraid it will be bobbed to keep it on the road. The only things it has going for it is that it has done 13,000 miles and is the original frame and engine. But it will be worth 100s rather than 1,000s.
