Another example of an inaccuracy on Wiki......
Why would you upgrade a CB250N's gearbox to six speed when it was already six speed ?

Well b***er me the BSA connection is true! There exists a leaflet from the early 90's advertising "Remanufactured Honda CB250N Superdreams by Remarque Motorcycles- part of the BSA group of companies". Remarque Motorcycles was run by no other than Roger Etcell- previously of Honda UK so he would have had all the relevant information required. Article in the 27 June 1994 edition of "New Straits Times" (Singapore/Malaysia), but the article had appeared slightly differently in the US edition of "Economist" dated 30 October 1993, which is the source quoted in Wikipedia.

I wonder how many pretty nice lightly used original bikes got stripped and given the treatment?
Hopefully none......

Well those at Stafford tomorrow can ask Roger Etcell- because he now works for Bonhams as their motorcycle expert!

Yes of course BSA is Birmingham Small Arms......but did someone buy the rights to that name then?
It became part of Norton Villiers Triumph around 1974 didn't it?

Might have found a copy of the advert- anybody got any mags of the day that might have reported this project?
