£2,601 - it would be interesting to see what she would get up to in the summer months, when half the country isn't flooded...

I lost interest after around 2k. By the way it was the same guy who enquired about the 400N Weird thing is he offered me 2750 for the rider. You must have been fairly confident on keeping it to lose interest at the end.....

At 15k reserve guys I was about as tempted as a nun at a Peter Andre concert . You know this was all an advert. I can never let her go. 2750 for the rider though? Care to discuss? Do I sell and get a cheaper example?

if you think you will be ok with it, go for it, but how much would it cost you now to get another one to the standard your one is now?

I think you would end up just getting the new one to the same standard as your current rider Nick. I don't think you do the slightly used look, can't imagine you being happy with mis matched panels and a motad 2 into one can you. So I say keep the rider.

Whilst 2750 for the rider is a good price - and we all know that the undercover is not for sale at ANY price - the choice of whether to sell or not lies with you FB.
I dont know the figures, but I guess there would be a small profit in that (not in time spent, just parts), but I think Harold is right. You would never be happy with a run-of-the-mill rider. Whatever you bought would end up the same standard as 'rider' and you would be back to square one.
However, for some the enjoyment is actually bringing the bike back from the brink and up to standard. The riding is secondary for those people.
I think, FB, you may fall into this category. If so, then you must sell the 'rider' for as much as you can get and then invest your time into ressurecting the next candidate.
Just dont leave yourself without a bike for this summer's ride-outs......that's all!!!
CT
PS - Me? I just cant sell my bikes.........I get too attached to them.......

Thanks guys.
Need to have a serious think.
I know the bike is worth more to me but I have not done this to make money.

Yep, another vote for keep it - or else if you do decide to get rid, wait till spring when the prices start picking up. Although I think it may be a sale you'll regret after the deal is done

I think the only way I could get rid is if I found another silver kicker either 250 or 400, the cc does not bother me. Sadly I do not see one with the FB potential at the minute. 2750 is a very good offer right now but it's not just about the money with SD's for me , I wish it was. I'm convinced there is a CB400ND in Germany with my name on it though..... Would love to bring one of those over here as my next SD venture. Ian if you're watching, please understand this and bear with me until at least the right bike with the right potential surfaces for me. I will PM you of course also. If you're in a rush I don't think we can deal.
