Just noticed a cylinder head for sale on fleabay, it says 250n or 400n head, i would have thought there would be differences between them surely? and that this part would not fit either or?

Hiya all
So what are the differences between 250 and 400 heads? I read from the Haynes manual that the valve stem diameters are the same, but what else is different, valve head diameters, spacing of stud holes, cam bearing diameters? Can the valves be used in both 250 and 400 heads? I would obviously know this if I had both heads to compare...one for the technos amongst us.
Thanks

The valves are not interchangeable, I'm sure the difference is in the head size but I have no information to say what that is. I'm pretty sure I could tell the difference between the two heads if I had one in front of me. I'd be looking for casting marks and the model codes of 442 or 443.
