Tooty Frooties and Caramac are still about, I loved Texan bars. There were Super Mousse bars as well if I remember a bit like a big Milky Way. I do think the chocolate bars were bigger then. We used to get Newcastle Coals as well they were like black Fizz Bombs. There is a wee shop near where I live still has a load of big glass jars of sweets and still sells them in 1/4's but please don't tell trading standards Plus they weigh them out in an old fashioned scale where you hear the rattle of the sweets going into the big metal bowl. Got addicted to Swizzlers Butter Scotch while campervanning in Whitby,have now found a place on eBay called retrosweets and they will post half a kilo (about 5 quarters) to your door for £4.50- BARGAIN!

Like me. Keeped eating them daim bars. Used to be called dime bars. Left them alone for a while. Tried one the other week. Now taste different. Don't know why I went mad on them.

You took me right back in time there Harold, do you remember the old meat slicer where you could have thick or thin from the big ham or beef joint, then the blocks of cheese ( chedder or cheshire) only choice we had then, they cut it with a cheese wire, then the packets of tea leaves they made up for you, them were the days eh
