loving the team accommadation and workshop,i can see it now dropped bars (not two dropped because we are old with back problems) megaphone pipes, racing seat with cushion, removeable of course so Trotsky can reach the floor, and other short arses, black tank with forum name on in gold leaf, slick tyres.and bloody hell I nearly forgot the indicators, must go now back to the drawing board.

it gave me the bug when we went to watch them. my mates dad rides in the parade laps which your not meant to overtake on but as long as your sensable and not cutting peeps up they dont mind. and his dads girlfriend is a passenger on the side cars. thinking in the future of getting something. loving the idea of loz's though. the only thing puts me off was the 4 air ambulances over 2 days of racing. (i think they were trying lol)

Don't worry about my short arse, I can't touch the floor with the one I’ve got . Great idea.

What an idea! Many many (many) moons ago, I used to have a dabble in Formula Ford. Never a full campaign mind, just a Pay as you Drive jobbie. Then went up to Formula Palmer Audi's. Then got more focused on playing Rugby League (played it since I was about 5 or 6, then at one point was playing for 4 teams - my "normal" team, the school team, the Town team, and the Air Training Core (ATC was the "wrong" code, I.e. Union ) team too)). Too many distractions tbh, and I always focused things on rugby, till I got one too many bad tackles and knackared me knees up so had to pack it in, Anyway, my one regret is not getting into bike racing. I've not even done a single track-day on one. I wouldn't know where to start! I know, for example, Oulton Park, like the back of my hand - but that's with four wheels; the racing line and braking points are totally different on two wheels. Can we not get a forum CG125 to warm up on first?

sorry boys the race bike project is a no goer. jack as is eye on a chinky Honda look a like monkey bike,so I told him to raise the money for it he would have to,get the 250 kicker off the trailer(where its been since last year) and tidy and get the bike running,so it could be sold.so with my help and my bad back,we put a spare set of wheels on it,wheeled it down the garden, checked the oil, bobed the tank off my nb on it,stuck the jump leads on from the car on.and I kid you not the bike did not turn over more than three revolutions before it started, and she is a sweet as a nut.thank you mr Honda yet again.the bike is missing chain and sprockets,a rear silver comstar wheel, left hand side panel, and brake caliper and master cylinder, plus full set of indicators
jobs done
fitted a pattern master cyl fitted a good caliper (plus brake bleed up and work) sprockets and good chain(I have waiting to pick up the rear wheel) and the tank and panals are rubbed down and in primer
this bike starts first kick or on the starter,i am not going to spend much money on it so it will be offerd on here or on the evil bay as a runner but spares or repair.jack need to raise enough money to buy the monkey.
its a shame to do this, but I need a rest from sd resto's till at least winter.the bike is a 1980 early kicker (w reg) and showing 19000 miles I think,i will stick some pics on this thread later
