Took advantage of the sunshine for a ride to Peel today. I guess they're getting the Leece museum ready for summer opening & a couple of unusual bikes had been pushed outside No, not the 400/4! Next to it is a TWN Cornet Never heard of it, but it seems Siegfried Bettmann, who founded Triumph in the UK then set up Triumph in his native Germany, later changing the name to Triumph Werke Nürnberg, or TWN. The other bike is an Aermacchi Harley Davidson Sprint, something Harley created in '69 after purchasing Aermacchi in attempt to compete with the Japanese.
Summer's coming & soon be a lot more interesting bikes on the road

How the colours have changed in bikes. The sprint looks to be a lovely red, but looks old just by the look of the bike.
How good would it be to get a wee ride out on a museums bikes, to keep them running.
Gee.

Sounds like fun, but I'm not sure I could cope with left-brake/right-gears these days, let alone the complicated controls of vintage bikes

Had heard of the Aermacchi Harley Davidson Sprint, but never come across TWN! All lovely Restos' though.
