Hiya guys, been in hospital for the past week proving positive for COVID-19. Over the worst of it now. Been in the ULTRAHIGH DEPENDENCY UNIT in Glasgow Royal for a week, staff amazing.
Not only with the medical knowledge but more importantly, "the keep the right frame of mind attitude"...and trust me, that more than anything got me through this.
I was unwell and getting worse for a week before being rushed in by ambulance.
Not see my darling Rona in a week either. And on a sad note...no lager either.
Anyway guys, missing you all, catch up soon.
Gee.

Just to add my pennyworth. Get well soon fella. Warm weather before you know it, which demands motorcycling, then beer and tall stories. Pleased to hear you are now on the mend.

Glad to hear you’re over the worst mate, sounds grim, I’m amazed I’ve not had it yet tbh, worked full time through the whole pandemic coming into contact with the public on a daily basis.. luck of the draw I guess, stay well mate…

Had covid almost exactly 1 year ago, thought it best to share with wife and middle son - think my daughter managed to swerve it and eldest was staying at girlfriends house so he was our nominated shopper for the duration. Luckily didn't have it too bad and no hospital, but wouldn't wish any of it on my worst enemy. Glad to hear you are OK now, my kids all call it "the Rona" so your comment about not seeing her confused me initially  Regards, bb |

Got home yesterday Sunday....Rona picked me up. So good getting back home....even managed a Corona lager yesterday afternoon and one slow cooked chicken that I stuck in the oven for 4 hours as soon as I got home.
It was heavenly like, feeling human again and doing normal things, like standing up to pee!
Simple things are the most appreciated I think.
Thank you for all the nice posts they did help.

Glad you're better Gee ,not had it myself just lucky I suppose as like Mansell I've worked all the way through the epidemic too ,could be cos I don't drink so I don't go in pubs  |

Glad your home and on the mend buddy, always found a nice Malt Wkisky keeps most germs at bay lol
