By the way, shenanigans aside....
Interesting to note that the bike had a kickstarter but with reverse gold comstars.
Just saying.

And there is also a sofa in the drive....
Is this relevant to anything? Possibly not.

Well, it may have been handsome before someone decided to barbecue it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think they sat on the sofa and watched for a few mins before it took hold?
I have to say, if I was an arsonist (and let me make this clear, I'm not) I think I would have gone for the sofa first as they go well.
Do you think that whoever did this hated bikers? Or even more sinister, hated Honda Superdreams?

Thursnscoe - sounds rough even by name....never been there but I bet it's a right s hole.
Mind you, Whitley in Reading (where I grew up) was no Beverley Hills.
I think the bike was targeted, bus shelter opposite or not.
Bus shelters always cause trouble though in rough places........I've had bitter experience of that too. They just attract trouble.

I wonder how it compares to other poor towns say down south?
Closed mines or not (and I can't imagine how hard that was for all concerned) , I think wherever you go, you will find problems. Overseas even more so......
After reading the book about Delorean, I can image that parts of NI were probably the worst....bombs and violence being the key thing.

You're right Nick places are good or bad all over the country but they change over time .When I was a teenager I would'nt walk through Rawmarsh on my own cos someone would have had a go but I've lived there now for getting on thirty years and its ok but if I had the dosh I'd move over the hill to Greasborough cos thats much better than ok but on the whole areas of high unemployment tend to be the worst .

Overseas even more so...... After reading the book about Delorean, I can image that parts of NI were probably the worst....bombs and violence being the key thing. Excuuuuuuuuuuse Me !!! Are you saying Northern Ireland was a rough place just because we had a few neighbourly disagreements People here just got on with things, although when you think about it now or when you tell the younger generation about army check points, helicopters over head 24/7 (in Belfast anyway) and there were security huts that you had to go through just to get into the centre of Belfast. That said peole weren't afraid to let their children out to play like they are now. There are still parts of the country that would be a bit dodgy for strangers as there is still a very tribal attitude here. Things have changed but there are still riots, fighting at interfaces, shootings and bombings although on a much smaller scale than in the past, there was a hotel fire bombed a couple of weeks ago because they held a police recruitment event. Luckily for me where I grew up was very scenic and not directly affected very much by the troubles. Here when I was growing up there was a great sense of community within local areas and most people would help their neighbours I grew up in what we call a council estate, but never felt I was deprived I loved growing up there, but now that sense of community seems to have gone mostly and areas that once housed a proud hard working community have turned into s**t holes with no pride in their local area. Is it the same on the mainland.

In a word Harold yes when I was a kid growing up we lived in a rented terrace house the vast majority were rented with just a handfull of private houses but every one took pride in where they lived they cleaned there windows and swept the pavement outside we as kids roamed far and wide just turning up for meals and generally not coming to any harm at all ,but nowadays no one knows anyone, strangers don't stand out any more which is why people keep ( the ones who care ) a close eye on their kids its sad but thats life these days
