I do not restore motorcycles never have but i recommission them to 100% working condition why would i want to make them look new again.but the main problem is time ,i am taking up to much time cleaning up items up and getting them ready for paint.example picked up a kawa er 500 been stood 6 years failed mot rear suspension drop link bearings the back was solid ,when striped down there was no paint left on the swinging arm i could not put it back like that so most of that day spent cleaning it up to paint time i could be spending on other things .been after one of these for a while the one's that come up second hand have been to far or to small new the size i want £450 .out at a bike night talking and a guy tells me he as just got one of ebay and its great ,the next day had a ride down there and had a play and ordered one .one grit blasting cabinet switzer 220l cadinet £250 yes the gauge of steel is a little bit thinner bar that its the same as the one in machine mart at £200 more.took the pic as you can see the size against the bike,i needed one spending to much time cleaning items up

The wife found out about the cbx and was wondering why I didn't go up more she said it would look fantastic under the front room bay window. Then I woke up I have gone as far as I dare if I knew it was just cosmetic I would go more but 50k on the speedo that engine can empty your bank account .I have had about 11 bikes from them over the years and all have been above expectations but this one is not going to be no 12.

Back in 1978, I'd just got shut of my Ariel Leader & bought a 2 year old CB250G5, thought it was the dog's whatsits. 'Till the lad over the road got a brand new CBX - he was about my age, a copper. I obviously went into the wrong profession

I was fortunate enough to own a Pro-Link version, detuned a tad, 95hp compared to 105hp.
Very comfortable bike and not too heavy, well, not until you are going too fast roon a bend, they slide well sideways, both tyres at the same time, which helps. Saved it twice.
I would buy one again, as a last bike, once I have sold all my others.
(I will never call another bike heavy again after my Electra Glide, it gives heavy a new meaning.)
I do think that they hold their looks extremely well as does the CB900/750.
Old look wins every time for me.
Gee.

On the blasting cabinet mark, I had seen them, I bought a Sealy one first, then a red one similar to yours last.
They are both ok, Sealy slightly better quality, but only slightly.
With these cabinets, they all do the same thing, hold the mess in.
Its the compressor that does the work.
I bought a new 100 litre 14.5cfm 8 bar Clarke compressor and it struggles with painted surfaces while a friend has a big portable comp and it could cut through steel (almost).
It doesn't run out of air and just keeps going.
He also has a 200 litre 29cfm comp, an old battered and beat up but well serviced model, it works great as well, not as good as the portable one (with wheels) but more than adequate for our kind of use.
Spend more on the compressor and you wont be disappointed.
Gee.

Hello graeme if you are struggling with your compressor try a smaller nosel if they do one.if you are looking for a bigger compressor you need to know the continuous air not the free air the manufacturer's tell you I have a large compressor as I youse air tools regularly 20k of ground fine to medium glass has arrived will give it a go next week
