Bet that beach hasn't been that empty this summer . I think we'll be staying at home too Steve. We had thought maybe by September we'd feel comfortable going away, but things have gone a bit down hill here since they eased border restrictions. Added to that, with most people having staycations over there, we'd probably struggle to find a b&b. Here's hoping for a better 2022!

Hi Steve
Went away for a week in Cornwall and had a really good time.
Decided to ignore Government advice earlier this year not to book anything and go for a self contained holiday in a cottage where we could do things and still stay reasonably safe (keeping a reasonable distance from people and wear Masks in shops etc).
The premise was how long do you stay in complete isolation (eg a week a month a year etc..), I've had to totally isolate since before the first lockdown (could see what was coming our way) and been ultra careful, but, there comes a time when I suppose life has to continue on and try and take personal safety.
Stay safe hope you have a Brill time in Weymouth next year.

Not booked anything but I've bought a new tent which fits better on the bike (and ways half a ton less than the one I took to Wales ) so maybe next year I'll try it out

Brave man Terry! Over my lifetime, I've probably had more camping holidays than any other accommodation, but not any more, I need a warm, dry, comfortable bed now

I remember that one Terry, we were fed up we couldn't go but Gill was recovering from a hip replacement, so our first trips away on the bikes were in 2015. We'd have probably camped back then, we had a few camping trips to Oulton Park in 2015 & 16 but that was the last, the camping gear has all gone now

Never done camping since I was 15 and will probably never do it again.
I am a Homey(stay at home guy) but only wear heals on a Sunday(Kiddin).
Rona likes her holidays abroad, apart from our Moto GP Euro trips, I am not in a hurry to go back to Europe.
Lots and I means lots of lovely places here (UK) to visit.
We are an Island, why not visit it.
Gee.

I took a week in Wales with the extended family it was nice and it was great to get away (not on the bike). BUT the traffic was horrendous -I guess that's what happens when everyone holidays in the UK!
