Hopefully the limit on numbers for organised events will be gone by October....... Hope so Ian - The exhibitors was I think at 40% of normal and a lot less public, 1/3 One positive, joined you in the RE Interceptor Club while at the show - hoping delivery this week but suspect it will be next

They'll be outnumbering Superdreams at this rate! Had a great ride on mine today, loved it & I'm sure you will too

I bought an Interceptor 650 twin last year. Only managed 1200 miles so far. Great bike to ride, just had the brake piston/cylinders replaced as part of a safety recall. Will it be the new Superdream in years to come??

Will it be the new Superdream in years to come?? One difference, most Superdreams were 250s bought be young learners on the start of their motorcycling journey, whereas most Interceptors seem to be bought by old gits like me coming to the end of theirs . Apologies if that's not you Roger! Interesting about your calipers being replaced, a friend's dad over in Wales has an Int650 & has had his replaced. I asked my dealer when I took mine in for a service last week, he said they're only replacing those showing signs of corrosion & mine are ok. Not sure if that's the full story......

Hi Ian I’m loving my Interceptor 😁 I wanted one as soon as I saw one couple years ago change of direction for me got shot of 2 old 70s bikes the Harley hopefully will sell and also that horrid Burgman is going😁 I would like an old K7 750 to keep the Enfield and Superdream company ( and my Valkyrie ) I want to buy a few tasteful accessories for the Enfield nothing to make it noisy or go faster😁 I am a pensioner don’t forget

The brake recall was a Vosa directive RM/2020/016 and the letter, dated 15-4-2021, states that all Non anodised calipers are to be replaced with anodised versions. This recall is being monitored by DVSA and is mandatory and a permanent solution. Its FOC of course. I have fitted a TEC Bikes 2 to 1 exhaust system, saves nearly 10kg over the stock system and sounds good. Not sure about the improved performance claims!! I am also an "old git" 83 next month so this bike suits my up right riding style.

Yes I like the Tec 2-1 it would save lot of weight and make parking in garage easier, going to try some Norman Hyde Peashooters I’ve bought first see how they look.Ordered some stainless mudguards and handlebar risers from Hitchcocks and Tec adjustable gear/brake levers with the footrests next I ‘ve bought a Bakers Express tank but have to admit the chrome/black tank is growing on me and likely I’ll leave it on.

i think your bike looks better with the black and chrome tank dave but have been told i have got the taste of a mad dog.the RE 650 are very popular this way but not for me.i have a itch for another big twin a bike and manufacturer i have never had but when i first seen one i wanted one.but i have a big twin that will do for now is my kawasaki kz750 twin just got to get a uk reg and its good to go. about 25 years ago i acquired some commando whistler's and they were made for the kawa well a lot better than what some stupid yank fitted

Thanks for that info Roger, not sure if VOSA & DVSA will be much help to me here in the IoM as they're UK organisations, but it's somewhere to start. I was told that MotoGB are the importers & they have the info. I registered & loaded the bike details in, including the vin & reg number a couple of weeks ago, but it still says 'Pending' when I check it. Could be it doesn't recognise the IoM reg...Great to hear your riding yours ok, gives me hope I'll get a few more years on mine Love yours with the chrome tank Dave, definitely hang on to that. Looking forward to seeing how it looks with the stainless mudguards. You can always stick the Bakers on now & again for a bit of a change. I'd like to make mine a bit lighter, but not sure about 2 into 1, maybe some lighter silencers would be enough? This guy reduced the weight of his by 45lb - that's 20kg, but must have cost a fair bit forum.classicmotorworks.com/index.php?topic=30623.0 So far, I've just fitted the lowering shocks & a screen on mine. The Puig screen was cheap & keeps the bugs off the clocks

Mudguards arriving tomorrow with the handlebar risers only ordered them this morning, having 1st service week tomorrow will then stick the Hyde Peashooters on then, they’re lighter and narrower. The new touring seat looks good and comfier.Spent today doing bit of polishing chaincase/fork top nuts Will polish the mudguard bracket/brace when I fit mudguard undecided on fork gaiters but likely fit a small screen and rack/Givi luggage E22.
