hi everyone, hopefully I've managed to upload a couple of pics of my bike, it is a 1980 CB250N, or na I think ( new to bikes this new but learning) 2300 miles from new, one previous owner, needs a couple of bits and pieces. Plan is to run it this summer and make good over winter. From what I can see so far only the silencers are not original. Trying to do this on my mobile so not sure if the post will work. If all ok I will upload more pics. thanks Dean

Lovely bike, in fantastic original condition, welcome along!
One of mine is the same model & colour.
A&N Brown was where I bought my first bike (RD125DX full power)

Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments👍I need some pieces re-chromed ( front mudguard, brake pedal, downpipes. ) carburettors need a little setting up, little difficult to start from cold but runs fine warm. Can anyone tell me if all superdreams had the black glovebox above the rear mudguard? Love looking at all the pictures on the site, you are all dedicated fans and have some lovely machines. The other think I was hoping to pick someone’s brains on was the silencers, who made the originals? I thought they would be stamped Honda as the collector is but am I wrong? Feel cheeky asking questions so soon after joining the group. Love learning about such an interesting motorcycle, enjoying everything about owning it so far. Going to re-jet the carburettor on my old beetle now, hopefully will get rid of an annoying flat spot. Thanks again and be safe.

The tool box/glove box was only fitted to the early 'N' kickstart models, but it can be retro fitted to any as it bolts on where it's metal 'T' bracket replacement fits. Handy - I've got them on my SDs. They come up on ebay sometimes & superdream_parts on there do a replacement lid - maybe they'll do the box one day? Dunno the answer to the silencer question for sure as I've never had an original, but I think it was 'Honda'. I believe yours are replicas, available from Classicbikeshop.com. The givaway is the silver rivets in the end, the originals were black. I've got them on all my SDs, as have many others here (we paint the rivets black to make them more authentic ) Good luck with the Beetle carb!

www.agbriggchrome.co.uk/ "....carburettors need a little setting up, little difficult to start from cold but runs fine warm."
A bit of redex in the fuel / new petrol / service tappet check etc + use it a bit more..........

Front Muddy Chrome.... Is the top surface of the front Muddy still mostly OK? If it is may I suggest gentle buffing back any underside rust and coating the under side of the Muddy with "Zinga" cold galv. coating, this will also run between the bracket and the muddy to protect the area you cannot get to. In subsequent years you just wash the Zinga and give it another coat if depleted. Certainly saves taking the muddy to pieces before chroming.
