HELP!! I am trying to start the bike as someone is looking at it later today and I would like to show it running. I removed the old battery to clean up the holder and give it a spray but now I want to replace the battery I am confused as the wires are both black with no significant markings to show positive and negative leads? ?? Which is which, is the negative grounded on the frame or is it the other way round (which it is on some vehicles)

Picture attached from factory CM400 manual shows positive earth. I would imagine it's the same on all the twins.

Sorry Pic shows Negative Earth as I think it depics a Voltmeter with Ammeter in Line with charging.
My CB400N 81 Model has a Negative Earth and I think (will be corrected if wrong) that manufactures changes to Negative Earth around Mid to Late 60s.
