I am always on the lookout for the bits I want to make my 400T as standard as I would like, but it seems prices have gone crazy for classic bikes! A perfect example is www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324535369897?ul_noapp=trueNo criticism, the person has not dressed it up to be something it is not, but it is a very rusty, likely non functioning bike and it is edging towards a thousand quid! A very average (worked, but some serious tank rust etc) CB250T went for nearly £2700 I sold a good 1976 FS1E a few weeks back - it was nice, but no show bike, and I got £6210 for it! I only paid £1650 for my reasonably good, fully functional 1977 400T a a few years back Superdream's are not at the crazy price levels yet (though there are a few that have oddly high prices on EBAY), but it can only be a matter of time My guess is nobody has anything else to spend their money on at the moment! I wonder if the market will fall once people have something else to spend their money on!

Wow!!! That is incredible -the longer I looked the worse it got!! I have bought 3 really good 400s in last 5 or 6 years at a fraction of that price all road-ready ,one even had several months MOT...think I should be selling not buying right now !!!

I have been told there are 67 million people in the UK out of that say there are 500 looking for a superdream 400 want one for nowt. 50 want to spend 1k 20 2k 10 money no object. If them 10 live on your doorstep you on to a winner. Spring is the best time for selling bikes and there are loads for sale. Classic bikes there value goes up and down. Fs1e not lots for sale so price is high at the minute lots of superdreams for sale that affects price were you live and finding that guy with deep pockets. Great if you get what you want and everybody's happy. Don't sell menny bikes and the ones I have is through persistent offers and the wife finding out.buying I am in the 400

Think a lot of Car collectors are buying bikes for investments as they can get several bikes in the same space as a Car. 2 Strokes in particular are going thru the roof. Makes it difficult to find bikes at reasonable prices for the average collector who wants to renovate and keep them on the road and get some enjoyment.
