Duncan from Classic Car LEDs Ltd forwarded a link regarding LED headlamp bulbs from the DVSA. Here's the link to clarify this dark corner of MoTs dated 19 March 2021 www.gov.uk/government/publications/special-notice-01-21-headlamp-conversions/mot-special-notice-01-21-headlamp-conversionsIt basically states: Class 1 and 2 motorcycles must not be failed for the defect ‘Light source and lamp not compatible’. Headlamps must comply with all other requirements of the test and headlamp aim. The motorcycle inspection manual will be updated shortly, and the ability to select the defect within the MOT testing service will be removed. Hope this helps. BTW, I'm changing all my bulbs to LED.

My insurance is up soon so will ask.
I know when I asked my previous car insurance company (not the one i'm with now) they wanted to know everything even the fitting of reversing sensors!!!
Things with insurance companies are getting very perdantic about mods, though some mods they may not charge for, but require notification.
The world is getting too complicated LOL, but can understand some of the reasons.

Be good to know what your insurance company says Reversespin. Any minor excuse for them not to pay out.
