Memorable memories, what a title.
Something came to me recently about bike related memories. All good ones.
My ride on a Vincent Black Shadow. I was alone and riding it, wow!
My first ride on a bike. My Honda 250N RGD 550W...long gone now...I gonned it (should be a word).
My Kawasaki Z250 Scorpion that a Reliant Robin beat away from the lights (sold that weekend). I did laugh.
The day I bought a Harley, I still laugh. Bike is great, but I still laugh.
And future purchase's that I think, I could see myself on that.
Honda Goldwing, just a clue.
On that, memories, memorable ones....that can be shared!!!
Gee.

Saturday July 17th 1999, The week running upto this day I worked near to CMC Motorcycles in Chesterfield and had seen a cb250n for sale at £695 a tidy early example very tempted , the salesman however let slip that there was a CM250T coming in at the weekend being taken in part ex, so the Saturday came and I got a call to say the CM was in so myself and my mate Kev tootled down to CMC to have a look, quite tidy I thought nowhere near perfect but in original trim so I thought, exhaust was blowing a little , I was smitten, a deal was done and £408 later I had a bike again but no gear so I borrowed an helmet from a neighbour and rode the bike the 2 miles home, it was a bright and sunny warm day and a Cheshire cats smile was nothing on me, I owned that bike 15 years and it was 99.9% reliable , oh I abused it and it was tired when I sold it, wish I'd kept it NWF805X

Got my first bikei think I was 10 a 150 bantam there were lots of bikes around in gardens i think it cost me 10 no6 a none runner my mam's brothers soon had it running for me and all the unwanted crap removed, all my spare time in the woods and on the pit tip leant to keep the front wheel on the floor as the forks were soon knackered and would slide of the stations and leve me in a big heap.i got quite good at motocross and at 15 was riding a 380 greeves Griffin.but the head was more into booze and skirt.left school at 16 did not do the moped thing as the pit was through the woods I made my own way there .Two days after my 17th brand new kh250 I had lived at work and 7 weeks after that test past and traded it in for a kh500.i have always ad 3 or 4 bikes at a time even when the kids came along sold up on the miners strike but kept a kawasaki kl250 the police never stopped bikes when I was picketing. There is not one bike I have not enjoyed riding there is a lot I would never own again I do not know how many I have owned but every one gave me fond memories and the ones I have now will give me more and that's what I want I am more interested in what I am going to do not what I have done

We have all been there, birds and lager instead of birds and bikes and lager. I was never good enough on a bike to do trials or motocross, although I did enjoy slow riding on my 76 XL125. Orange and white, you know the one. Hard times for a lot of people. I love to reminisce. Gee.
