Same for us here in Swansea, but for me Being ill and "shielding" since March.
It's a never ending patch of boredom, but my shed will arrive very soon and "she who must be obeyed" will no doubt boot me out to the shed to work on the bike.

The good thing about having a shed is all the stuff that can be hidden out there

They are just chasing their tail with all these variations, they can't even agree on what is an effective policy, that will yield an actual results.
Why don't they wind the theme clock back, and then have an absolute lock down every Sunday together with a staggered 4 day week. Would it not work out to the same number of days Vs start stop chaos? But then people could plan.
I don't think this virus is going away any time soon, or the related minority of muppets who's individual behaviour keep extending the issue. Like the clown in Aldi the other day I was perhaps 2ft in front of a sticker on the floor, still unloading my basket and this clown came up and stood on the sticker, with body language that because he stood on the sticker, he was ok. Are people really that stupid after all these months!

Definitely no idea what they are doing they claim to be following the science - and they clearly are not.
1 day breaks would not work, for it to be effective it would have to the the length of the incubation period, so at least 2 weeks, preferably 3 otherwise the transmission cycle will continue. I agree though that you could tell people (and businesses) when the "breaks" would be, so that they can plan.
And yes there are a seriously large number of stupid people out there (or uncaring)!

You know that the Human race is proving Darwin wrong, the stupid are breeding faster than the intelligent, "Survival of the Thickest"

I reckon their keeping schools and colleges open to build herd immunity for the young the rest of us have to hope we don't get it bad i think that is what they are trying to do in Scotland, however I get the wee boy to immediately remove the high school clothes, go for a shower and put different house clothes on before he moves anywhere in the house!. Have to hope the young person does not get these long COVID symptoms they are talking about on the news.

If the 2 week lock down thingy works, Scotland will be SARS Cov2 free by the time the Schools go back on the 26th October. unfortunately the Large number of stupid people shall continue to defeat the objective! The Sky News was interviewing a B&B owner, in Blackpool, who was commenting on people coming down from Scotland and their poor personal attitude and lack of masks etc. . The median time from exposure is just over 5 days to show symptoms, if the person shows symptoms at all. If they had a 1 day a week shutdown, I mean a "Day the Earth Stood Still" type shutdown, ie. no road traffic, unless emergency services, health worker, going for a test, pre ordered food delivery and continuous process workers. at least it would eliminate contact opportunities by about >15%. Easy to plan to span 30hrs (The food Banks could issue slightly bigger packages), less panic buying and waste, incentive. The other 85% is dependent on those stupid or uncaring peoples individual behaviour. Just a suggestion, till the summer when it becomes warm enough to spray bike parts again, should the latest wave of restrictions, do not resolve the issue soon.
