From dusk until dawn today I have been flat out, helping my 18 year old move into an apartment. The only light at the end of the tunnel when going to Ikea is the Meatballs that are naturally part of the experience.....YUM Don't you just love the assembly instructions with this gear? They would honestly make more sense upside down IMHO.

I'm quite proud of the fact that I'v never set foot in ikea. is this why the swedes often pay extra for the stuff they buy from ikea to be assembled at the delivery site by ikea staff, dont know if they offer this service outside of sweden?

I can't stand going to Ikea but unfortunately my wife and daughters are big fans so I get dragged there occasionally. Having said that we have bought a few things there and undoubtedly the quality and instructions are far better than MFI in the old days - I always seemed to have lots of nuts and bolts left over! I'm sure MFI/ Hygena will be familiar to many of you on this Forum.

What plans have you got for his room FB’s new Den I hope The wife has had a 'juggle around' of the house. Her office is now down here on the ground floor and my son's room is now a spare guest room......(don't mention the bike parts I have planned to put in there). Can't exactly have guests at the minute anyway. Keep that between us if you would....what she doesn't know and all that.

I got out of going in as the wife forgot her face mask and I said 'take mine, I'll stay in the van'. Managed to get my head down for at least an hour in the back of said van.

I am sure they were part of Associated Dairies at one point. Better known as ASDA! I remember MFI closing down in Shrewsbury in the mid 2000's. They went bust. Shared the store with Allied Carpets. The store is now The Range and even has an Iceland in it, even though there is one less than a mile away. I read a while ago that Victoria Plum, the bathroom people own the brand name now and were going to relaunch it. If they have, I've not seen it.
My wife wanted to go to Ikea when she was 8 months pregnant. I had to push her around there in one of their wheelchairs. We didn't buy anything either! Now the kids like going just to get the token for the milkshake machine and for Swedish Fish. We have got a Billy bookcase, but so has nearly the rest of the world apparently
