hi all my CB450DX stutters on occasion almost like its running out of fuel - all obvious checks complete and nothing needed repairing or replacing even tried a working ignition unit on ebay someone mentioned a "typical fault" is the ignition pick up" - not sure what that means
does anybody have any experience with this ta tony

My 400N had a similar problem - seemed like fuel running out/tap turned off, but it turned out to be the CDI, but to answer your question, I think they might be referring to the ignition pulsar coil, or the pickup. There's more info on these in the Honda manual in the manuals section, but here's the diagram  |
