new oil standards are coming out they are in nicks neck of the woods now.they are doing away with a property that are old tractors need but harms modern catalytic converters .it is ZDDP .modern engines this additive is not needed .i have never made oil a big issue but i am now going to read the labels the guy who told me about this says in the not to distant future the oils are bikes need will be classed as race oils it will be the same fore cars as they will not be regulated

I don't think so nick but cheep mineral oil from Asia will be a thing of the past

That won't harm me then......more of a good thing. That said I am using a straight SAE 50 in the Beeza......but I wouldn't say it's cheap. Because the bike has an unknown engine history and I don't want to disturb the sludge trap, I use a low detergent old school oil. Millers in fact.
