The full power version rocker cover is shown as part number 12300413000 which is indeed the fully silver polished version.....so far I am seeing Pete as being correct on all this...but now let's turn our attention to the VIN numbers.

So.....m'lud....
I put it to you with the evidence presented that if the bike has a black rocker and the numbers begin with a 3 then you have the 20 PS.
But in real world terms does it matter? Probably not.

Black rocker 44hp 🤷♂️ Rocker had probably either been sprayed or changed on that TBH. (Look at the KM's it has done).

Pete.
One explanation and the only one I can think of to suggest that your bike seems faster for such a lower powered designation bike is that someone has possibly de-restricted it at some point in the last 39 years.....surely a credible option?
It will be interesting to see how this new arrival at Carl's compares to yours.

Probably not. In fact, looking and comparing those VIN / engine numbers it looks like they sold around 4000 more of the lower power version in that year therefore they are more of a common find. I'm assuming a lot of new riders wanted them and had to have the restricted version. Maybe there is no surprise that some got de-restricted?
