I must admit, I do prefer the XJ650/XJ750E style but having said that, I would still take this. One of the exhausts was a dump gate for the turbo. CX650 turbo and CX500 out at similar times, I think the CX500 turbo sold better. XJ styling was different, maybe too modern, too SyFi, a bit like my RF900 looks, not alot of people took to it. I did like on all of the above. Buy it. Gee.

In just love that XJ650T styling, love Si-Fi, one of the very few over 500cc bikes I was seriously interested in, just never got round to it . I've seen the XJ650T fairing fitted to a XJ900 (not the diversion, the original), liked that too. up there with VF750/ VFR800 in my very short list of over 0.5 Litre favorites. The other Yam that had a associated less radical & dramatic design concept was the Vision, but I don't think they sold many....see the heating vents in the fairing to keep the legs nice and warm.. My passion was/ is mainly 400ish / 250 class....
