I think the frame is quite Ducati-esque......bought out by Suzuki to steal some of the Monster's territory in the late 1990s.

the people who say no to the sv650 have never road one i have had two of these the model shown and the later alloy frame one .the only let down suspension a bit soft easy sorted .a bike that will take you to work and do a track day what more do you want mine did .lots about so prices are low and spares are cheap.look how many are in the supertwin class ,a bike that punches way above its weight .they have a big following in the uk i do not think suzuki were big in the states if you are buying to ride you will enjoy to flip it needs to be cheep

I like it and I'd certainly consider one (abused commuter, as cheap as I could for a project). never owned a v twin but always fancied one...

I used have the Deauville 650, similar engine configuration, super commuter, 65mpg if you took it steady, 65mpg if you thrashed it
