NO 20 I have had lots of bikes and there are one's i have sold and i would buy back in a flash ,there is one bike that i can not sell and if i do my son has first offer and his words would be the buell is mine to his brother as i go up the chimney.my 2003 buell xb12s i had a r1 what a fantastic bike way beyond my capabilities you at to be stupid or do something stupid to mess up on one but you do not know how fast you are going till you look at the speedo .BUT two speeding fines in 6 months i could not keep this bike and my licence.I wanted a triumph speedtriple but teem roberts did not want the r1 told me to sell private and come back they had a shop full of sports bikes they are not moving .I have family ho are into the harley scene, i went to chesterfield H D center with them on a open day ,got talking and ended up on a test ride on there buell demo bike and at the end of the day it was my bike.my xb12s was buells uk demo bike it had the titanium micron serpent specially made for this bike a not for road use race ECU the mechanic told me i do not know what else they have done but it goes well.THE BUELL XB12S some say its a sporster engine it is not it is a 1203 cc v twin my model 103 bhp at 98 fp torque.they are not power houses they are torque monsters 5000 rpm and thats it they are a muscle bike .they are a small bike its been next to 125 motorcycles and mistaken for one till its starts up.buell was fore mass centralisation the frame is the petrol tank the rear is bolted to the engine and the swinging arm is the oil tank and a weight of 179 kg dry makes it light .not a fast bike starts running out of puff at 130 the ri was just worming up.not every bodys cup of tea if you have road a proper race bike you will know what i mean.they are not a practical bike they vibrate more than my matchless the heaviest clutch in the world in heavy traffic you learn to filter very quickly but there is one thing it is a master at is going round corners fast.i love my buell its going up the chimney with me

Was that the Harley you rode to Rutland?
I seem to recall you had a different HD to that one but could be wrong.

The softtail has the looks Dave and if the dyna was to be replaced it would be the new softtail sport.its strange now the dyna is no longer in production and the sport that only had a short production run because they could not sell them are now getting interest.

i do like beemers never had one but a NINE R is on my wish list a close friend has a ex police 750 mega mileage but would not give it a second thought to cruise around europe on it .the harley as been stage 1 and the screaming eagle slip on's were on the bike when i got it.i fitted a power commander that improved fueling.not interested its fast enough will sit at 80 all day loaded up.people do not believe how quick of the mark these tractors are

Changed the bodywork ( tins ) on me Harley had it serviced and ready to use a bit more, only done 3,000 miles last 3 years.Burgman off road till radiators repaired ( £400 ). Harley Stage 2 tune ie exhaust/screaming eagle cams/screaming eagle fuel pak thingy/big bore kit it goes well and surprisingly handles quite well bit like an old Brit twin.
