never tried the gpz500 but I was always given to understand that it was a gpz900 engine cut in half (sort of). have to say though that my gpz900 was the almost perfect motorcycle, I'd put it up there with the vfr750 as an all round bike. I once nearly acquired a 500 but it didnt quite happen, I'll have to have a go on one one of these days

Over the years my mind set I might as well just run it into the ground there is loads of clean ones for sale and they are going for noat but it just run and run.the only major failure I have had was when the rear shock let go oil all over the back tyre and a strange ride home on the spring. They are a lot of bike for the money and still are a cheap bike today buster.my opinion they were the best middle weigh twin of there day

My Burgman 650 bought new by me in December 2016 is stuck in garage with a knackered radiator £514 for a new one 🙀🙀 will try getting it repaired🤞🏽Most of plastics removed exposing a picture of advanced corrosion everywhere fram/exhaust/centrestand etc. Most panels the dealer would have removed for servicIng are damaged, what a bag of shite avoid Suzukis like the plague/covid 19 they’re shite😡😡 It’s always garaged with dehumidifier next it

Not much paint left on there Dave , take it you won't be buying another then ?..............
Was "traditional" that the finish on Suzukis wasn't the best but thought that time was long gone .

I fell out with Suzuki in 2004 when I bought a SV 1000 I had problems with but Suzuki refused to fix a simple problem until I pestered them over 6 month period told them I wouldn’t buy another Suzuki “as long as there’s a hole in my arse” even though I fancied a GSXR1000.They don’t make the 650 anymore I only bought one as Honda stopped making the Silverwing, maybe a X-ADV could be an option now.
