You lucky fella Ian, that looks great, please keep us updated on how she rides and behaves, Iโm a big fan but to tight with my cash ๐. Bet you didnโt know that ๐. You & Ian have got time on your side Carl, you can probably wait a few years & pick up a bargain when the prices of 4 or 5 year old models have dropped a bit, but previous old git owners like me won't have put too many miles on them . I'll let you know how I get on, but so far, it's nice to ride & servicing isn't too bad, I believe the valve's have rocker arms, not bucket & shim so home maintenance should be straightforward once the warranty has expired. The only thing I want to change so far is to fit narrower handlebars. The standard ones are comfy enough, but don't leave much room to wiggle between the bikes in the garage. The straight bits on the end of the bars are long enough to move the controls in a bit & cut a bit off the ends, but if that makes them uncomfortable I'll be stuffed, so I'll look out for some others so I can refit these if I mess up the comfort.

That looks very nice Ian , though I did have to concentrate to follow that tale with its twists and turns .
I have avoided taking up the offer of a test ride on an Interceptor as concerned about what might follow..... , I'd go for a black one as I think it looks like my old Commando. Enjoy the new bike . I had intended to leave my post with just the SWM last night Ian, so you all thought that's what I'd got, then post the Interceptor bit tonight, which would have been even more confusing, but I decided that was going too far Deciding on a colour was one of the stumbling blocks to buying a new one. I originally liked the orange crush, probably 'cos that was the one I'd seen the most. Then I liked the bakers express after the test ride in Wales, before finally deciding maybe the black one was my favourite too. See how much indecision buying a second hand one with no choice on colour saved?

Iโm not a great fan of vintage, probably too young ๐, but I do like your cub and royal Enfield. Good thing we all like different bikes, main thing is they are motorbikes ๐ thanks for sharing.

Ducati singles I remember in early 70s. Lad on a Monza 160 would burn me off when I rode a Lambretta ๐ก I bought a 250 Starfire and got him back a few times then the Barsteward bought a Super six๐. The Desmo singles were nice๐
