Evening guys and gals I am busy building the ever eventful, donor bike Cafe Racer (Cb250N). I have just refitted the carbs and cables back in place. However, now I have fitted clip ons the throttle cables are too long. Can anyone let me I now if there are shorter cables available to fit the CB250N?.

I wouldnt think there are any shorter ones off the shelf (I might be wrong) but you can buy kits to make your own, all you need is a blow torch and a bit of soldering ability

Thanks Buster, I am aware of the use of solder and blowtorch. I might go down this road, but I was wondering if there was any other Honda throttle cables which might be shorter. I will probably do the shortening task next weekend.

If you get bored & need something to do - unlikely, while you've got a bike project on the go - Wemoto give the inner & outer cable lengths in their listings, so you could pour through different models to try & find the right lengths. Did this on changing the handlebars on my wife's GB250, got there eventually

Thanks for the heads up on Wemoto Ian. It will be worthwhile taking a look. I will keep you updated if I find anything.

Apologies for the long absence.I decided to remove the return cable and set it up with the single pull cable. Seems to operate fine. I will shorten the removed cable when I have finished the project. Having the normal float issues, flooding carbs and firing on one cylinder etc.
