I tried to buy one myself about a year ago, it had a load of history with it and only 2 owners. the problem was I couldnt get the owner to hold it for me. I told him I would give the asking price of £575 if he would keep hold of it while I hired a van and went up to get it but he just wouldnt work with me, so I gave it up as a bad job.

Good point Buster , 450s seem to have better parts support but TBH I don't have the love for it , more likely to put it on Ebay and hope someone takes it away !
I did put some fuel in and it started up yesterday but only on one and a carb started to overflow - just like a SD ! Lost interest rapidly at that point . I've been really lucky with mine. Changed the oil, or fresh petrol on and it started first time. As I say, the only issue is the exhaust studs. There's a few available, but as you say the gasket is probably going to be a pain. Found a breaker who had a cb450s he's breaking, but it's a bit rich for me at the moment, probably about 180 for all the parts... I almost bought one a long time ago, just before I got the yellow SD. There's was something seriously wrong with it though, but that's another story 😂😂😂😂

Mine is less than lovely , £100 and its all yours !! I'll try it again tomorrow but not keen on getting the carbs off to clean them which is what I suspect it needs .

The head or the whole bike? 😳😳😳😳 Are you that desperate to be rid? What's this poor bike done to you? 😂😂😂😂 If it's the bike, I'll take it! But it'll have to be after lockdown, if that's ok? Whereabouts in the country are you? 😊😊😊😊 Kev

Yes , the whole bike , you're not to leave any of it behind !
It's got a swingingarm with no rust imported from Germany and new shocks , tyres have tread , chain and sprockets but the rest of it is not good, I bought it as it seemed good value compared with a SD but I have never really "gelled" with it. Head is sound though with good threads/studs , one replaced with studding other 3 originals .
I'm near J14 of the M1 anytime you want to dash down , after restrictions have lifted etc , it's not going anywhere !
