During the virtual meet earlier, this bike came up in discussion. I wonder what everyone's thoughts are on it? I was saying that I believe the mileage to be 100% genuine. Looks quite a factory bike apart from the upgraded (Dunstall?) silencers. This looks to be a typical bike that was used for a short time for a year after it was bought new and then simply forgotten about say when the young owner moved onto a car. Selling it was also probably not viable at the time due to these bikes and all other 250's losing virtually all their value when the learner law changed around 1982/3. It has clearly spent a good degree of the past few years outside in the elements which is a real shame. Bidding is strong I believe (for what it is) due to the originality factor.......but......well, yes it is a mad world - in this condition you could question how much that 'originality' actually is worth. Could be heaven or hell under all that muck, either way it is going to keep someone busy.

Wow, nice one 250! In Argentina we call this version "Cola de pato" (Duck tail), only the 400N came to this country, not the 250, perhaps due to a market research of Honda Argentina SA. Byez!

Good original base to start from, if the frame is sound & what did the engine oil look like when dragged out of storage. If the oil was emulsified it may cancel out some of the low miles attraction... A lot of those original items will probably need renewal/ Front Muddy £140 Forks £400 FVQ Shocks £60-£300 ?? Full Exhaust System £850. +£1500 for starters! Before the wire brush and detol on the rest Tank looks 50/50 a lot of corrosion

nope I still cant see why someone is bidding around the £600 mark, I just look at that and think seized engine? seized nuts and bolts? seized spindles? all do-able things but a lot of hard work. theres some originality exhaust headers/collector, front mudguard but how much can be saved? and when compared to the bike that was recently offered on the forum (the one that sat in jeffries showroom for years) it looks even more insane to me, but each to their own I wish the owner good luck with it

You never know, the winning (losing?)bidder might end up here, but most likely gone to an e-bay breaker
