hi guys, hope you can help, trying to identify my dads old bike, im completely naive to bikes, so sorry if my descriptions/slang is off! ive googled etc and i cant seem to find a superdream with the front 'guard' around it, could anyone identify the model/age etc for this bike? images below ibb.co/TYxFFB1ibb.co/3zzv0tF

Afternoon
This is an earlier SD, either a N or an NA model
It is a 250 as it only has a single front brake caliper
The Fairing on the front would have been more than likely a UK made licenced extra
The key difference between the N model and the NA is the N had a kick start
Others on the forum may be able to tell more from the photos

Cheers! thought it was a 250, im puzzled as the fairing on the front looks like a completely different colour, my old man must have had it added at some stage. I'm trying to find some other photos, hopefully of the number plate to see if i can track it at all.

Yes, I think it is a CB250N, 1978/1979 manufacture year, note the diagonal pattern on the seat. The 1979/1980 manufacture of the CB250NA, was when the seat cover changed to a block pattern.
As BP mentioned, if your can find a picture from the other side, you should see the kick-start arm, at the aft of the engine on the right side.

I had a marina 1.3 the same colour as the one in the pic ,people say they were a pile of crap and they were but I got one for £90 was a mot failure some patches on the sills that car took me everywhere picketing around the uk and to the sister in laws in Cornwall never let me down once after the strike wife ran it about for ages then the gearbox said no more and it went were all marina's went.nice pics

Yes definitely a N not a NA tank decal is two tone on a NA would agree 78/79

Easy- CB250N from 1978 to at latest 1980.
Colour is ‘custom silver metallic’.
