Hello everyone new member here, I've been riding and working on bikes as a hobby for more years than I care to remember, I'm currently in the process of finishing a project that's been on the go for about two years (not one for the purists). It's a recumbent feet first based on a 1979 Superdream, it's been MOT'd and was running until recently. Most of the problems are associated with the forty year old components. I've owned five or six 400 and 250's over the years so am quite familiar with them, but there are a couple of issues that I might need advice on which I'll post in the relevant section. I don't know if I can post an image directly, I'll give it a try.

Thanks for the welcomes, the molds for the fairings already existed. I gave them to a 'professional' to produce the actual fairings, a year later after much chasing I got them back half finished, a friend who is familiar with working with fibreglass completed the job. After much work sanding, I painted them in a Renault colour, basecoat and lacquer.
It handles just fine, hands off stable at speed but because of the increased wheelbase it doesn't turn in quickly.

Front suspension is standard Honda, this photo might explain the steering linkage. It consists of a second steering head linked to the first with a rose linked tie rod.  |

Not sure about the riding position, but that's some neat engineering Don't knock it 'till you've tried it, there are huge advantages to riding a 'powered two wheeler' as opposed to a 'motorised bicycle'. Turn your Mind to 'Open' Set your Imagination to 'On' and your Pre-conceptions to 'Off' You can leave Scepticism on your normal default setting. link

Yup, I get some funny looks, I put this sticker on because it more or less describes how I feel. I'm looking for a large sticker with googly eyes and and open mouth 'cause that's how people look when they see me.
