Well we left Pauls 400/4 at the finish with an old knacked yellow tank on and the original one needing brazing up and the metal guy in isolation Paul thought he would give silvers replica tank a go and I must say I am impressed if only he could do SD tanks Any way dropped it at the painters and picked it up with sides flatted back for decals then dropped of again for clear coat i have talked him into painting the original tank blue when it's sorted so he can do a swap every now and then

Still doing small jobs on the cx got nos front disc the other month so fitted that then the flickering speedo cable finally snapped last week so fitted a nos one then t cutted the engine block which has made a real difference and something that's been getting on my wick is the solid wooden feel from the front brake it has a Hel black braided hose fitted so of with that as I found an original Honda one second hand for £13 delivered and that came today it has come like new and even has the little date tag on the bottom banjo So a ride to Douglas and fit it at Daves and how good does it feel now It was 6ish when I left for home and a lovley ride home with great scenery to boot looking down at sulby dam and the back side of snaefell

With the mot looming on the 2 year 400/4 project that took us 3 months but his Mrs doesn't know We sneaked it out of the shed while she was shopping with his daughter and took it to another garage he uses for his bikes then off to Dave on the yellow one he was getting a new extremely rare clutch basket fitted and now she is whisper quite on tickover and I was refitting my weights in my nos handlebars as I was searching for new snap rings which took a while so putting up with vibes through the bars also up their was Kerrie's cl450 getting a final check over for it mot on Thursday then the week after its his DT1 and T160 will get pis of them next time out

Well the 400/4 got through mot on Tuesday so first trip out was to see Dave in Douglas on Thursday and on arrival Paul and Dave discussing any niggles a few little things as always a couple of tappets a bit noisy ,clutch needed adjusting ,brake lever and master cylinder needed twisting forward a bit ,chain done and after new wheels have been made up Dave just checked the spokes so while that tinkering was going on I polished up daves 400 and grabbed a photo then before we left I let Paul join the shot and when I got home a little David silver pkt was waiting with two little bolts in for the master cylinder clap the ones I had in were annoying me and fitted new ones
