as friday night is salad night (its ok I'm always careful to ensure theres a kebab under it) I had a bit of a think and decided the best policy was to pull the whole thing in bits and see what was what. forks could do with rechroming but I'm happy the mudguard bolts came out nicely online image hostingditto the front engine mounting bolts the bad bits (so far) the wiring looms had bodges on top of its bodges I'll live to regret selling that loom I had, but never mind. also have to say I'v never done such a methodical strip down, its driving me nuts, but everything has to go back on this bike so no other way.

amazing that this came off easily I'll also live to regret selling my centre stand, ah well theres always ebay always a good idea on any restoration to spray straight over the top of any rubber bushes instead of spending 2 minutes removing them...

the only time I'v been happy to see a crap paint job, comes off lovely the swinging arm in my opinion cant be rescued, its well rusted and crap can be heard rattling about inside so as far as I'm concerned its junk, also when I took it off the bike it had bushes in but no spacers so I'm guessing the handling was quite interesting... good replacement arm on the left from my carefully hoarded spares stash
