well done Buster - looks like the sort of thing to keep you busy in these bloody painful times - enjoy fixing her up - any plans on colour change? T hi tony, biggest pain I am discovering is running out of simple things, at the moment I'm waiting on 320 wet and dry. its so easy to take for granted that you can just pop to the shop and buy some, where now I have to order it and wait, still its nothing compared to whats happening in the world. seen as the paints non original there will be a colour change, my own little twist at the end. though for the time being I might run it for a while in the red that it came in. stay safe and lets hope we all catch up eventually

Do you have any hint of what colour it was Buster assuming that the side panels are original to this bike it looks like tanzanite blue which is a bit of a shame as its my favourite superdream colour

cheers bodie, good info, I was going to paint the made in japan bit so now I'll just clean the alloy in that bit, probably going to use some PJ1 (just because I'v got some, I think) but it can be dulled slightly in a couple of weeks if needs be. got some artists brushes somewhere (always used to keep a pack chucking about when I was self employed) but I imagine with my cackhandedness I'll probably need a nice clean bit of rag handy

Looks good Buster. There's something to be said for painting it; my 250 & 400N have both had the cylinders, head & cam cover vapour blasted & I'm forever having to wipe off powdery deposits. I painted the 400NA engine long before I even got those SDs & it needs little attention.

buster I see your going for the full blown professional look buy spraying the sump plug left in as masking, got a new NOS one to be fitted on the build back up
