been trying for a while now to buy a 400 and if its a kicker too then all the better. I think I managed it last night, put a bid in on ebay and got it, I'm being a bit cautious as no deal is ever properly done until you have the bike in front of you but I'v just spoken to the owner (and arranged payment) so I'm cautiously optimistic. all being well pics to follow soon

The suspense is killing me.
It’s like being left on an EastEnders cliff hanger on a Thursday and having to wait until the following Tuesday for the follow up.

here it is, good and bad the paint on the tank side panels tailpiece is ok (ish, I mean its probably the wrong shade) the bike itself seems solid enough. lots of surface corrosion on the engine, swinging arm, rear shocks, exhaust brake pedal but nothing thats bothering me too much. the biggest bugbear so far is that frame in red (yuck) thats got to be sorted. gently tried turning the engine over (always a bit nerve wracking, should take the rocker cover off really) and it seems to be free and has compression. so as it stands I'v got £640 in it and I'm happy enough at that.

I had one of those on my old 250 deluxe ,I gave it to my nephew and he put it on his 750 Suzuki and it looked good on that ,they just don't suit SDs .Good price for the 400 only £20 more than I paid for my CM ,mind you that's still being spent on so it will have cost a lot more by the time I'm done
