I never took any car driving lessonsππ being self taught in my blue 600cc Supervan.I took the side off it when I hit a 3 day old Volkswagen Beetle,Only fibreglass hit the Beetle but it smashed the rear wing onto the rear wheel buckling it! I was always running into things lol.

No Reliants, but had a Berkeley T60 back in the day. Great fun, but parts were hard to get hold of. Wasn't just the body made of fibreglass, most of the exhaust was too & needed re-doing every week (couldn't weld in those days, well still can't ). I drove it on my car licence & my brother drove it on his bike licence.

No wonder there aren't many left, the way we treated them. There were loads of 3 wheelers around back in the late 60s, early 70s. A few of the lads I was apprenticed with had Robins, my mate had a Heinkel (the bubble, not the bomber ) & the lad next door had a Bond. Remember him opening the bonnet & sticking his leg in to start it. The Berkeley had a Dynastart.
