spent a hour or two making a tool to strip down the koni shocks removed one collar but the other shock needs a more substantial tool making thats tomorrow's job.these are the old 76 seri es no service kits are made for these now .but a company called icon make koni shocks now and the seals are the same.the later 76 they do a full kit.finished the rotor from honda it had a 0.80 throw out now 0.15 and 20% lighter

I'd never consider gas flowing as f***ing up a head its just a time consuming process that isnt really possible in mass production. a few years back a little snippet escaped from formula 1 that they were porting and flowing their heads then bead blasting the intake side to stop the fuel air mix condensing on the way into the combustion chamber. this is probably ok if your engine lives in a hermetically sealed pod and its life is measured in hours, but the thought had occured me that my own intakes once smoothed will then be dulled (scotchbrite or maybe steel wool) to try and achieve a similar effect but without the potential corrosion problems your likely to get with bead blasting.

one side of the head finished you keep the inlet rough stops fuel from pooling ,all sharp edges removed from the combustion chamber stops hotspots the head is going to be skimmed can not do that till i can measure the squash band.that will tell me what i can remove.to get full benefit the standard carbs ignition and exhaust may have to go.the carbs may put 34mm oko powerjet as i have a lot of history with them and are easy to set up twin pull throttle cable are easy to make just a linkage to fabricate to join up the choke.there is a ignition setup in the states that's adjustable.and the exhaust going old school a two into one into two.from a system that worked on big twins famous on the dunstall commando

Do you repair the fins yourself or send them away?

as with a lot of older bikes they are not designed to run with the lights on all the time.led have come on a long way and are now very cheep and if you are prepared to wait buy direct from china . put led side and back today thay are brighter and need about 90% power. not found a headlight bulb yet that are any good if there is one out there let me know
