Great pictures lads, thanks for posting and hats off to all of you for doing that kind of distance in today's temperature - especially at that time in the morning! Our day didn't start 'till 10, so it had warmed up a bit by then. We read this in the news this week & rode up to take a look after lunch (warmed up a little bit more ) "Oldest car on IOM showcased this weekend The 1900 New Orleans travels across Island One of the oldest cars in the world is being showcased on the Island this weekend. A selection of vehicles from the collection at Milntown are heading to Douglas tomorrow (Saturday) The New Orleans will be accompanied by vintage motorbikes from 10am to 4pm at the Sea Terminal" We went on the bangers with their heated grips, although at only about 15 miles & in the sunshine it didn't get cold enough to use them. I was expecting a smaller version of your day, with the display in a cordoned off car park with several cars & bikes & lots of visitors on old bikes, but it was full of the normal assortment of modern cars. We went into the terminal building to find out where it was & there they were, 1 car & 2 bikes

My wife has a shop in Hampshire specialising in gifts, cards and jewellery and we go to the NEC in February and sometimes September. I am just the chauffeur and bag carrier but sometimes manage to sneak out and visit the Museum. However, although I really enjoy going there,I find it too pristine! I am not far from the Sammy Miller museum and find it far more real. Great value café at the National Motorcycle Museum and if I wasn't 120 miles away, I would be there more often.

That's the word - pristine. It would be nice to see more "as found" bikes.
