PWK do keihin copy got one on the grand kids pit bike work very well there that well made keihin parts fit them considering fitting one on the xbr when i put the 600 barrel on it.most big twins have a link pipe .two in to one is supposed to be the most efficient way all two do with back pressure there are sites that will bore you with the science.putting a siamese on the superrocket ups the bhp by 2 .and if the power chamber is so good like the 3 valve head went into honda,s archive filing cabinet, they should have gone the way of the dreams big brothers a 4 valve twin cam head interesting about the pwk copy, I was steering clear of copies thinking they would be rubbish so its good to be re-educated, just ‘won’ (I detest that americanism, I didnt win it, I bid for it and bought it) another 250rs carb on ebay with inlet manifold (might be useful) so I’ll give it a go with keihins. totally agree that balance pipes or the after market alternative the two into one solves a problem but I’v sort of got my heart set on two into two with nice kick ups at the rear and something similar to reverse cone mega’s. it could well be that after all I’v said (including fungo’s angry lynch mob, luckily they got the wrong door ) I end up with a balance pipe, or a lot of swearing, or tearing my hair out (got to be careful there its going a bit thin), or simply breaking down in tears. still all part of the fun...

Doing without a balance pipe or collector box hasn't seemed to make any difference to the running or performance on my 400N ( standard carbs/ airbox etc). Mind you, I didn't notice any difference when I ran a 250 CDI on it either. Maybe it's me
