Looks like a good wee bike there Nick, you'll soon have it plastered in NOS and so good you won't want to use it I like the shape of the nose fairing but it looks a wee bit big for the bike in my opinion.

I like that fairing much nicer than the invader it would look good on a 400 painted green

Yeah, the fairings do certainly divide opinion.
That fairing is a genuine Honda one - you certainly don't see many. I'm glad that I now have two styles of the fairings from back in the day, with the right decals and in the right colour that I can fit to my rider whenever the mood takes me.
This one is certainly very easy to fit as it is secured only by the headlamp bolts on each side, whereas the Inavder requires a bit more jiggery pokery.
The Invader still has the edge for me, though....but yes, sometimes I also love these bikes naked, in fact probably 85% of the time.

I knew you would be... You love those old PC Rowan (Heartbeat) fairings, don't you? I can see you now, riding across Aidensfield to investigate a sheep rustling incident.

Yeah.....again personal taste. Sometimes the Invader looks gorgeous and other times it looks as ugly as 1970's chest freezer - it depends how you are looking at it. That said, it oozes retro and to me, captures the era what we are celebrating here. I think it's quite sexy.

Had a bit of a play around last night. This bike has very serious potential to be a NOS queen. But, rest assured, she won't be, for the time being. Yeah, I know........the naysayers will have switched off by this stage. But let's see if I make the same mistake again. Sure, I will be fitting tidy *genuine* parts to it.....for starters those down pipes need changing for tidier genuine items - and half of the collector box is probably scattered around various sections of the M23 / M25 / M4 / A34 / M40 / A46 / A429 and other roads, I'm sure of it. More pics in just a bit:
