Got back home tonight after a very smooth crossing compared to the trip over on Friday. We had a bit of a recce through the forest of Bowland on our way up from Buxton to Garstang on Sunday - looked a likely spot for a ride out! The internet here is playing up now, I can read the posts but I can't see the pictures in this thread, let alone post mine so I'll have to leave them 'till another night. Great trip & meet up!

Just like the look of the RE 650 Interceptor - Enough of the modern features but looks like a traditional bike (thats if they ever really go on sale in the UK, at the moment RE can sell all tehy produce on the home market in India)

Great trip & meet up! forest of bowlands a lovely ride out, the trough (sort of in the next valley) is probably equally nice, the only slight downside is getting depositted in lancaster (dont get me wrong, its a lovely city) and its less than wonderful one way system. its a bit like that film the legacy it sort of traps you in and you cant get out again, never mind I needed to call at sainsbury’s anyway...

Too late Buster, we already got dumped there on our way back from Wray to our digs in Garstang. We managed to get through it ok, more by luck than navigation . The hardest bit was at the start, trying to find the B5269 to Longridge. We headed south down the A6 but never saw a sign for it and ended up stuck on the A6, going well south through loads of new developments before looping back & joining it further east. Between there & Lancaster it was great SD country, pity we were in the car
